Surface prep and touch-ups

Defect patching, filling and sanding for a dead-flat finish, plus pre-handover touch-ups.

Freshly undercoated corner of a room with a tin of Haymes paint on the slab

Most paint problems start underneath the paint. Dents, screw pops and poor joins show straight through a new coat, especially in raking light, so they are filled and sanded flat first.
