How a job runs.

Most of a good finish happens before the last coat goes on.

The full process
  1. Look and quote

Kyle looks at the job, the surfaces and the timing, then sends a free quote. Photos and the suburb are enough to start the conversation.

  2. Protect and prepare

Floors and fittings covered, edges masked, then defects patched, filled and sanded until the walls read flat.

  3. Spray out and undercoat

On new builds the house is sprayed out before fit-out: walls and ceilings undercoated, ceilings taken through to their top coats.

  4. Finish coats

Once fit-out is done, the walls, doors, architraves and skirtings get their finish coats in premium trade paint.

  5. Touch up and hand over

Marks and knocks from other trades are touched up, then the job is finished off.

Before you ask

Questions, answered.

Quotes, towns, paint and the size of job Kyle takes on. Anything else, just ask.

Are quotes free?

Yes. Send through the job, the suburb and a few photos if you have them, and Kyle will get back to you with a free quote.

Which areas do you cover?

The North West Coast of Tasmania, based out of Ulverstone. That covers Penguin, Turners Beach, Devonport, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Burnie, Somerset, Wynyard and the towns in between.

Do you work with builders on new homes?

Yes. New builds are a big part of the work. The usual order is a spray-out and undercoat before fit-out, then final coats once the fit-out is done.

What paint do you use?

Premium trade paint chosen for the surface. Recent jobs have used Haymes, including Casper White Quarter throughout a new build, and Dulux on spray-finished doors.

Can you spray doors?

Yes. Doors, front doors and VJ panelling can be spray finished. Most of the time goes into prep, which is what gives a sprayed door its smooth, even look.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. A single room, a front door or a garage floor is fine. Big or small, get in touch.

How do I get a quote?

Call Kyle on 0488 197 238, email a1finefinishingpainting@gmail.com, send a message on Instagram or use the quote form. A few photos and the suburb are plenty to start with.

Do you paint exteriors?

Yes: weatherboard, cladding, fascia and deck coatings, booked for the drier months so the paint can cure properly.
